Postage stamps present a unique opportunity to teach basic graphic design principles including color, composition, typography, and semiotics, How stamps can be used to teach these principles will be illustrated.  Practical projects that use stamps to teach these graphic design basics in the classroom will be discussed. Free sample ‘starter kit’ materials will be supplied.

The seminar will be presented by Niko Courtelis, an award-winning graphic designer, stamp designer and educator. He is also Design Director of NY2016.
