About The Show
World Stamp Show - New York 2016 takes place at the
Jacob Javits Convention Center in the heart of New
York City from May 28-June 5, 2016. Click the link to take a virtual tour of the facility.
More than 200 stamp dealers and postal bureaus are expected to attend, as will hundreds
of exhibitors filling thousands of frames displaying some of the world's greatest stamp rarities. Specialty
societies and organizations plan to hold meetings and seminars every day. And yes, the
United States Postal
Service, United Nations Postal Administration and many other agencies will host first-day ceremonies for their
new stamp issues. This family-friendly show will have something for everyone!
World Stamp Show - New York 2016 carries on the rich tradition of the once-a-decade international exhibitions
from the past 100 years held in the United States, typically on a year ending with "6" or "7," honoring the
anniversary of America's first postage stamps issued in 1847.
Here are some of the stamps and souvenir sheets issued honoring those internationals.
